visual design

Outside of audio, my education encouraged cross-discipline study, demonstrated here with works made in Photoshop. Both these images are experiments into my visual design philosophy: the one above as an abstract frame-by-frame image, and the one on the left as a poster imagining an imaginary future event in the form of a poster.

Code as audio

Not only did I work in DAWS, but also in a software called Pd where my final project was building a song from scratch using only block coding and oscillators. The above images are the interfaces for a drum machine and for playing individual components of the final song, respectively. To the right is an mp3 of the track.

code as visuals

In conjunction with conventional tools of artistry, I learned to create code that effectively builds animation based on the parameters given. The one above was my final project, a snapshot version of the kind of VJing effects I would love to build for a DJ set. The code was built by scratch in Python, A snippet is below.

These are just the highlights of my non-music works, I’m currently working on coding in more than just Python and returning to visual effects to aid my DJing.
